From Marvin P. Garcia: My first dog was a big Siberian Husky male with silver see-through eyes and white, black, and silver fur. The second dog in my life was my brother's German Shepherd that had a coat of pure gold with no other colors! My third dog was a Doberman Pinscher/Weimaraner(bird hunting dog) mix that was my biggest dog yet. The female Siberian Husky you see throughout this website is our dog, Lokee. We rescued her from the Inland Valley Humane Society and SPCA in California at the age of 1 year old on November 26, 2007. For spaying (removing the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries - a California state requirement before you can adopt a dog from a shelter), 8 vaccinations including rabies, deworming, heartworm check, and treatment with a 1-month flea & tick killer, cost $135! You're required to obtain a dog license within 30 days of adoption. Letting my elderly mom sign the Orange County, California, dog licensing application for the senior citizen discount, made the licensing fee only $11. The total cost for me to be a responsible owner of an adopted pure-bred dog? $146!!! Lokee turned out to be the best dog out of all four dogs I've lived with throughout these many years! She's so intelligent and picked up all her trained behaviors with in 5 minutes using slices of two hot dogs microwaved in the kitchen. I buy packages of hot dogs when they're on sale for 79-cents and freeze all of them except the one package I use for her daily discipline routine. Lokee knows these commands Sit, Shake, Other Hand, Down, Up, Roll-over, Stay, Lokee Come, Choose (a hidden treat in one of our hands), Back, I Love You (equivalent to Speak "Arf Ahar Ooo"), Bite (tears off a piece of food from what you're holding), Fetch (her second favorite game), Whose Is This? (She knows its hers and will immediately sit. She equates getting a treat with sitting first.), Go Get Her Lokee! (My wife--Karen, plays hide, I cover Lokee's eyes and count, then let her rocket off with this command), No Bite (keeps her from chewing new items given to her). Lokee's favorite game is playing Flirt Pole. I'm not only a dog trainer, but also a dog lover! I even trained Rusty as a Frisbee dog! This website was not only developed by Board of Directors of a Corporation, but by dog owners that absolutely love dogs!

A Tender Moment with Lokee and Karen

From Karen S. Garcia: My first dog was a female German Shepherd named Tuffy that had a litter of several puppies in which we kept two brothers until they passed away--Tootsie & Zimitar. So at one time I had 3 dogs when I was growing up! My fourth dog was Pizza, a male mixed breed given to us, and at that time our only dog. From there on we had two dogs at a time. Our fifth dog was RP, a male German Shepherd mixed breed that got out somehow while we were all out, and was able to follow a neighbor he recognized to make it home 2 months later. He never went past our gate ever again even when we opened it wide! Our sixth dog along with RP was a mixed breed given to us also, called DT for Dream Team! My seventh dog replaced RP when it died, a male terrier mixed breed called Coffee. Both Coffee and DT passed away in 2005. Lokee is my eighth dog and my favorite dog ever! It really is amazing owning a pure-bred Siberian Husky that receives 45 minutes to 1 hr and 10 minutes of exercise, discipline training, and then lot's of love everyday. What a happiness and joy bringer.! I am a true Dog-Lover!!!

Christmas Day 2007, Lokee's first Christmas! She was so happy! We gave her a new day bed for napping, those fuzzy white snow balls, the white MilkBone stuffed dog bone, those "JOY" stuffed toys (she loves the tactile sense of fuzzy stuffed toys and of course the squeaker), two different types of treats, and a large can of Alpo 100% Real Beef, Prime Rib in Gravy. No wonder she's smiling! Told you we are absolute Dog Lovers!!!
